For the idiots out there who will make a fuss because they're too stupid to think it through: This is a paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney, 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927. No Party Affiliation, Phantom Candidate for a Phantom (Does Not Exist: created by themuslimvileone's administrati not reality) District in Florida Near You! Now bite me. Morons.

October 21, 2016   Okay. I finally finished all of my research and found the names of the people that I had not seen before on the ballot and did the research for them, too. So I shall leave the research I had done previously below the triple horizontal lines and put the list of my ENDORSEMENTS and RECOMMENDATIONS. So if you want my recommendations here they are and you're welcome for the research. Hope it helps you make your choices.

I Endorse and Encourage You To Vote FOR the following candidates:

President: Donald J. Trump / Michael Pence

United States Senator: RELUCTANTLY Marco Rubio. Ugh.

Representative in Congress District 8: Bill Posey

State Senator District 14: Dorothy L. Hukill because she is already in the Senate and because her opponent voted for themuslimvileone.

State Senator District 17: Debbie Mayfield

State Representative District 50: Rene "Coach P" Plasencia

State Representative District 51: Tom Goodson

State Representative District 53: Randy Fine, with reservations: He's in the "gaming industry" and that is not my favorite thing, but he's not going to take away my rights.

Clerk of Courts: Scott Ellis because we know he can do a good job, whether I am happy with what he did to Infantini or no.

Board of County Commissioners District 1: Rita Pritchett

Board of County Commissioners District 3: John Tobia

Board of County Commissioners District 5: WRITE IN CANDIDATE: Anthony Talbott Schultz

School Board District 3: Tina Descovich

School Board District 4: Matt Susin

Florida Supreme Court Judges
Charles T. Canady I say VOTE TO RETAIN. Looking at his Wikipedia page: "Canady was credited for coining the term "partial-birth abortion" while developing the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 1995 and he was one of the people involved in managing the Bill Clinton impeachment! RETAIN.

Jorge Labarga I say VOTE TO RETAIN. He was the judge who ruled in the Bush v Gore case and he ruled according to the Constitution. His former partner said it didn't surprise him that he ruled that way because that's what his standard is. RETAIN.

Ricky L. Polston I say VOTE TO RETAIN because he is much like Canady and I like Canady and because the liberal sites I've been to have been against him. That is fine with me.

District Court of Appeals:
Judge Jay Cohen RETAIN
Judge Brian Lambert RETAIN
Judge James A. Edwards RETAIN -- Missed him the first time around. A progressive website says "NO" don't keep him so I say KEEP HIM.
Judge Vincent G. Torpy Jr RETAIN

Circuit Judge, 18th Judicial Circuit GROUP 9: Christina Sanchez

County Judge Group 2: I DO NOT ENDORSE EITHER CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION but if I must endorse one I reluctantly choose Rodney Kernan.

The rest of the stuff I'll let you figure out.

For more information on why I chose the candidates and issue stances I have read below the triple line below. Thank you for voting!

I have been doing the research necessary to find the 2016 candidates that that I would endorse this election. As a voter registered with No Party Affiliation (NPA), I do not put my mark next to only (R) or any other party. I vote for the candidate I think will be best for the principles I live by and believe in. If some of you believe along the same lines as I, it's imperative that you know for whom you are voting and as much about their PAST as possible. It's not their promises that you should judge. Everyone promises the moon and more when they're campaigning ("Hope" and "Change"?). Don't listen to just the promises. Look at their past for it is their ACTIONS that speak louder than their current words. Let their actions speak. Let their past tell you who they are. It is their past that will tell you the TRUTH.

Please note that all searches at the Brevard County Clerk of Courts website Name Search page were done with the years 1980 to present for that day: 1/25/1980 to 1/25/2016. All results were checked for indicators that would delineate that it was that particular person the information pertained to: addresses, age range, etc. If that was not available I did not include any information that may have been another person. This was done with the best intentions and with caution. If I included incorrect information about a candidate in the Clerk of Courts information, please let me know and my sincerest apologies.

The 2016 General Election will be held on November 8th, 2016

Early Voting Locations and Times

FL Constitutional Amendments:

ON GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT (Nov. 8th):

"No. 1 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ARTICLE X, SECTION 29 (INITIATIVE):

Rights of Electricity Consumers Regarding Solar Energy Choice

This amendment establishes a right under Florida's constitution for consumers to own or lease solar equipment installed on their property to generate electricity for their own use. State and local governments shall retain their abilities to protect consumer rights and public health, safety and welfare, and to ensure that consumers who do not choose to install solar are not required to subsidize the costs of backup power and electric grid access to those who do."
I say YES to this initiative. It's their property and they should be able to put in solar -- unsubsidized by US in any way, shape, or form -- to use as they see fit. I don't have a problem with giving someone the "right" to use their property as they see fit. I say VOTE YES. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee.)

Amendment 4: Article X Section 29

"Use of Marijuana for Debilitating Medical Conditions
"Allows medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating medical conditions as determined by a licensed Florida physician. Allows caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana. The Department of Health shall register and regulate centers that produce and distribute marijuana for medical purposes and shall issue identification cards to patients and caregivers. Applies only to Florida law. Does not immunize violations of federal law or any non-medical use, possession or production of marijuana."
I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM. I SAY VOTE NO! I have given you the information before. I have told you for the last two years that there is NO ORGANIZATION for ANY of the medical conditions that I could find that supports medical marijuana as a recommended treatment for that condition. For instance, the people pushing this thing say that it treats glaucoma but the Glaucoma.org people say:
"To date, no studies have shown that marijuana— or any of its approximately 400 chemical components—can safely and effectively lower intraocular pressure better than the variety of drugs currently on the market."
The same holds true of EVERY problem the "medical marijuana" people are pushing its legalization for. Look it up! I wrote:

January 20, 2014   thevileone thinks pot no more dangerous than alcohol. Problem with his comment: the CDC has done a study of alcohol and its effects on folks. It's not good. Just reading the news will tell you that 80,000 deaths annually occur because of alcohol. So saying that marijuana is no worse than alcohol is not a good comparison, is it? Of course, the CDC has info on marijuana that would conflict with thevileone's words but that doesn't prevent thevileone from lying; nothing can. Any fourth grader can find info that's available that shows that marijuana is bad for you. Those who say otherwise? Follow the money or their usage. The reports of marijuana's use as treatment for glaucoma? Even glaucoma.org does not support it. Lung capacity increase? With continued use, lung capacity declines. How about treating epilepsy with marijuana? Epsilepsy.com says "So far, no clear, definitive, solid evidence exists to show marijuana helps seizures." Some say it helps with cancer: cancer.org disagrees and the American Cancer Society has a study that says pot CAUSES testicular cancer. I think it's coming down all on the negative side here. Some say it may decrease anxiety; Not so much. Its alleged positive effects in helping those with Alzheimers: but, in fact, it may ADD TO the problems of Alzheimer's. Then they say that it helps decrease the pain of Multiple Sclerosis, the National MS Society says "Studies completed thus far have not provided convincing evidence that marijuana or its derivatives provide substantiated benefits for symptoms of MS." For every claim they make, there is a negative. For instance, the claim that it is a good treatment for Hepatitis C, is not really suported by the website, Hepatitis Central. It states,

"A French study of untreated individuals with Hepatitis C (those not taking interferon therapies) showed that, compared with occasional or non-users of the drug, people who used marijuana daily were:
  • more likely to have severe liver fibrosis

  • at a higher risk for rapid fibrosis progression.

There is even more bad news for those with Hep C on that site, so if you've got it, you may wish to check it out. For alleged positive effects of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), and as a former sufferer with that, it's of interest to me. However, it's not usually even suggested for IBS. I was cured of it by the love of GOD. He cured me sometime in 1988 and I've not had a problem nor incidence with it since. For every alleged benefit of smoking marijuana there are problems that those who are pushing it don't tell you about. For every alleged benefit there are reasons why there is NOT an actual benefit. It's all bad. There are two other alleged "medical uses" for marijuana but my computer has started acting up so I'm not going to be able to cover them. Look it up.

I SAY VOTE NO ON AMENDMENT 2! (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee.)

"Amendment 3: TAX EXEMPTION FOR TOTALLY AND PERMANENTLY DISABLED FIRST RESPONDERS.
"Proposing an amendment to the State Constitution to authorize a first responder, who is totally and permanently disabled as a result of injuries sustained in the line of duty, to receive relief from ad valorem taxes assessed on homestead property, if authorized by general law. If approved by voters, the amendment takes effect January 1, 2017.
I say VOTE YES on this amendment because if you read the full text of the amendment they are giving tax exemption to the MAIN RESIDENCE of the totally permanently disabled first responder. That's what I wondered about when I first read the basic text: what if the first responder had rental properties? But they legislature put this amendment together and made sure that the offer of relief from ad valorem tax was ONLY on the "permanent residence of the owner, or another legally or naturally dependent upon the owner" (a daughter, sister, etc., lives there). Also, they made it only ONE exemption for each first responder, so there's no double dipping. The proposed amendment also includes:
"Each veteran who is age 65 or older who is partially or totally permanently disabled shall receive a discount from 79 the amount of the ad valorem tax otherwise owed on homestead 80 property the veteran owns and resides in if the disability was 81 combat related and the veteran was honorably discharged upon 82 separation from military service."
I say that the first responders and our veterans put their lives on the line for us daily so why not give those who have paid such a high price give back to them via giving them tax relief? Yes, serving us was their choice, but it was a choice of service to US. Why not give back? We give to illegals whether we want to or not. Why not give back to our first responders and veterans? (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee.)

Amendment 5: HOMESTEAD TAX EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN SENIOR, LOW-INCOME, LONG-TERM RESIDENTS; DETERMINATION OF JUST VALUE.
"Proposing an amendment to the State Constitution to revise the homestead tax exemption that may be granted by counties or municipalities for property with just value less than $250,000 owned by certain senior, low-income, long-term residents to specify that just value is determined in the first tax year the owner applies and is eligible for the exemption. The amendment takes effect January 1, 2017, and applies retroactively to exemptions granted before January 1, 2017."
This is legalized AGE DISCRIMINATION. The income cap that they put on it is $20,000 annually, so that is a low income, but isn't it a choice the individual makes? If I had only $20,000 to live on but my house was $250,000 I think I'd sell my house and move into something smaller, easier to maintain and easier for me to get from point A to point B. Maybe that's just me, but discrimination is supposed to be a bad thing, but the legislature is doing it all the time via the same sort of thing. The legislature also included our first responders, veterans and others in the exemption, but that doesn't make it better. It's still age discrimination, legalized. "Agism" is not legal, nor is it PC. Why is it okay? (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee.)

President of the United States of America:

There are more candidates out there than just the four most of you are familiar with. It's an incredible thing to run for president and it's gotta' be a very big ego to take on the formidable task to tell the world that you think you're good enough to be president of the greatest nation in the whole world. That's something a lot of people have undertaken. Some doing a great job after winning the votes of the people; some doing a lousy job, as we currently have proof. Those whose ego are big nough to do so are listed here. There are only two with a real chance and you know that I'm not going to say diddly-squat nice about the dumboRAT TRAITOR because I think she'd be a total DISASTER, so that leaves only one person I can endorse: I ENDORSE Donald J. Trump and Michael Pence. It's my only option and I believe they'd be best for America. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by LInda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee, or anyone else. It's all moi.)

FL U.S. Senate Candidates:

There were twenty candidates running for this position, I don't know who is still in the race, though. They should delete the names or at least label them when someone drops out. However, I'll do more research and figure it out. Get back to you on this one.

Florida State Senate D17:

Amy C. Tidd:

"They have put their trust in other and me people"
Her "Issues" page:
"She is not afraid of the NRA and will fight for citizens' right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happines.

"I support a woman's constitutional right to choose and will work to support women and their choices. I believe that the best way to stop abortions..."
"Happines"? Really? Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!! She's at it again! Ego on parade! She's been defeated so many times her head should spin every time she considers running but, no! She's running again!:
"Amy Tidd @AmyTidd · Jun 25
"Yesterday I filed to run for Florida State Senate District 17. "#sayfie #Brevard #IndianRiverCounty @FlaDems"
Seriously, folks! She's trying again! Now do I have to remind you about all of the stupid that is tiddlywinks? She's got a few supporters (besides herself) but considering that she's running in the Primary (August 30th: remember early voting starts Aug. 20th), for the dumboRAT candidate UNOPPOSED (so far), she won't even be on the Primary ballot unlesss she gets an opposing dumboRAT to run against her. She WILL have to be on the General Election ballot against the Republican candidate and any Independents or Write-Ins, but what an ego! She thinks you love her! Remember: tiddlywinks is the one who thought that this was a budget! She's the one responsible for the proving how far in the whole PSJ - The City would have been. She's the one who
"spent months with the City of Cocoa. Interesting. Went down to the City of Rockledge, and we were.... Realized how they had their... They could account for all of their money in the City of Rockledge. It was really interesting. Their figures balanced. I couldn't find $11 million in the City of Cocoa. So..."
This from a Poli-Sci major who put together a two page bodge-it for a city of over 25,000 people! She "couldn't find" $11 MILLION that the City of Rockledge's Auditors, CPAs and bookkeepers COULD NOT FIND, somehow missed (note she didn't say whether Rockledge's budget was OVER OR UNDER by $11 Million, just should "couldn't find") and she magically, mysteriously figured out that all of those CPAs and Auditors were so inept, so dunderheaded that it took tiddlywinks to "find" the error! Yeah. She's just that good in her own head. tiddlywinks is also one of those who threatens others if you prove them wrong, inept or if you oppose them in the things they want. She threatened me because I dared oppose her on the incorporation issue:
"publicly apologize on your website to me, then I will not proceed further at this time with the action I have begun against you."
Please note the grammar, spelling and punctuation of that letter. For instance:
"They have put their trust in other and me people"
Really. That's an exact, unedited quote. Want her representing you? My response to her threat is here. If you are unfamiliar with it I think you will get a good giggle -- or even perhaps a side splitting chortle -- out of it. Read through her introduction and statements in the PSJ Incorporation Debate. Warning: Laughing yourself silly is a distinct possibility. She also makes up counties! On one of her campaign websites she says
"The working people of Brevard and Indian county deserve to have a Senator who cares about them and their families."
I did a search for "In which state is Indian County?" There were no results! Yes, I know she meant "Indian River County" but still. She has been there and met with their party women and she still can't get it right!
"Amy Tidd has spoken out for years about the need to raise the minimum wage.
But that results in FEWER PEOPLE BEING EMPLOYED! It's not JUST the U.S. government that says so:
"This would cause employers to reduce hiring, leaving fewer people employed.[6] Macroeconomic modeling shows the proposed minimum wage increase would eliminate 300,000 jobs.[7] That means fewer opportunities for unskilled workers to get started in the labor market and move their way up."
Imagine that as a State Senator. Remember: The people pushing FOR PSJ Incorporation said that we'd have only a 0.5 increase in the millage rate in taxes. Reality was MUCH different and that was way back in 2002! Imagine her voting for YOUR taxes? Would she even understand them? I wrote I wrote this the last time she ran (for District 30 in 2010) and it's still true today. She would be a disaster. tiddlywinks is or was a member of the Rockledge Business Development Committee and she was a "political adviser", a talk radio host and for a little while she was a financial advisor (get the full report here). According to the SEC, she currently is NOT working as an investment advisor:
"This individual is not currently registered as an Investment Adviser Representative."
She's also listed with FINRA as
"This individual is not currently licensed to act as a broker"
But she is listed with Dunn & Bradstreet as working out of her house and someone who does "Business Information Reports ($121.99 each); uses "Credit Evaluator Plus" to analyze the credit of your company ($61.99 per report); give you continuous credit to your credit score via "Credit Advisor" ($188 per report); and "Credit Reporter" in which you call them for more information. Her Dunn and Bradstreet business advisor business at her house is allegedly making over $100,000 annually, but there's no business incorporation info with the State of Florida at Sunbiz.org. I can't imagine myself taking investment or business advice from her considering her bodge-it for the incorporation push. Gives me shivers. But if you want to, go for it! She may surprise me. Her FaceBook page is here. Nor is there a business license tax receipt on file with Brevard County. So that makes me go "Hmmm..." She's listed as having a business at her home since 2010 but I also checked with the City of Rockledge and she wasn't licensed to operate a business out of her home. So she wants to WRITE LAWS FOR US TO OBEY, but SHE REFUSES TO ABIDE BY THE LAWS HERSELF. Rememeber, she's on the Rockledge Business Development Committee and if this is the way she goes about developing businesses, she's going about it the wrong way! She is allegedly rated "A" with the NRA but that was back in 2008 and 2010 and she has a 100% SUPPORT rating for Planned AbortionHood and her previous funding came from the usual LEFTIE/PROGRESSIVE/LIBERAL sources. She has NOT taken the "Political Courage Test" yet so I don't know how that works. She did serve 6 years in the U.S. Navy so she's a veteran. In 2010 she lost to Ritch Workman According to her Twitter feed she supports hillclintOOn. Ugh. She pays her property taxes on the home she owns with her hubby. Her stance on EDUCATION is available to laugh at here. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, committee, or bad bodge-itter with a possible unlicensed home business.)

Clerk of Courts Candidates:

Scott Ellis, Current Clerk of Courts has announced he is running and will file his paperwork next week (today's date is 5/26/2016). I have given my word I will endorse him if he chose to run. Therefore, I switch my endorsement from Infantini to Scott Ellis. My sincerest apologies to Trudie Infantini, but I am a person of my word.

May 26, 2016: 2:48 p.m.   I forgot to blurb something that I had intended to do. Most of you who read the Toady [sic] already know that Scott Ellis has announced he'll run for Clerk again. I have a few thoughts about this:

  1. He said he advised Trudie Infantini that the Clerk's job would not be good for her, that it would be better for her to run for State Representative. He and I had an e-mail exchange about that once I found out that he had not endorsed her for Clerk (now we know why). I won't go into the particulars of his reasons, that's something that I'll leave between he and those he told the same things to. However, I will say that people react differently to different situations and as far as he or anyone else knows Trudie could make as good a Clerk as is he.

  2. I wonder why he ran last time saying that he was going to be Clerk for one term then leave and go back to Virginia where he purchased land and was going to retire, and now he's throwing his hat in the ring again. He gave his word, published it far and wide that one term was all he was gong to do. Then when Trudie said that she was going to run he refused to tell her whether he was considering running again; if he had said he was she would not have thrown her hat in the ring. Now, we have to choose between two people we trust and respect.

  3. If I could keep them both, I would. I asked Scott if he would run for Tax Collector against Cullen, but he said no, it was an easy no-show job and he'd rather work for his pay. I respect that, but now I'm in a quandary. I already endorsed Infantini for the Clerk of Courts job. What do I do with that? Now Ellis is in and Infantini has put time and effort into her bid and (as I've said) I trust them both. Experience has its bonuses and Ellis has experience in the position. But I keep going back to the "one term" thing and the fact that he kinda' did Infantini dirty with his late entrance and not telling her up front. That reeks of manipulations and I don't like that. That's a leftie/progressive/liberal ploy and it sucks.

  4. February 24th he told me in an e-mail "I don't know about running, maybe". Now we know. On Feb. 25th I told him that I'd switch my endorsement if he did run.

  5. Considering all of this, I wish that Ellis had done things differently. Although I want to stick with my endorsement of Infantini because I don't think that Ellis played fairly with her and I think that and the "one term" thing makes me wish he had done things differently, I am a person of my word. It breaks my heart to do this but I must change my endorsement to Scott Ellis.
I'll get dinged for it, but that's the way I have to go. I have tried to weigh it as carefully as I can. I told him that I'd switch my endorsement if he did run. Considering how things played out, I can't do it without some regret. Maybe it will not matter a single vote for or against Ellis or Infantini. For all we know Burdett will win. But, I have to stay true to my word. If I don't the Bible teaches me that I am doing wrong. That is something I wish Ellis had done. My sincerest apologies to Trudie Infantini. I mean that with all my heart.

David Netterstrom (NPA) A newcomer to the race, he announced June 23, 2016, and he seems to be funding his own campaign as his first filing shows. His second financial report shows he's the only contributor so far. His LinkedIn page says he's Mayor of Cocoa Beach, but I'm confused because the City of Cocoa Beach's website doesn't list him as being on the City Commission. There's a FL Toady [sic] story that says he's the FORMER Mayor and one that says he resigned as Mayor, so I think he needs to update his LinkedIn page. He is a realtor and his philosophy of life is focused on fun. He has a Facebook page and a petition was started at Change.org to recall him for "neglect of duty" (although the "neglect of duty" was totally the wrong charge: it should have been stomping on people's First Amendment rights and/or tyranny! Those people weren't even breaking the rules of speaking before the City Commission). He is said to be a "family man" and considering the video I saw at the petition to recall, I DO NOT ENDORSE HIM and I think maybe he should stay within his family. To watch more of the video (that shocked me), watch it here on YouTube. Criminuttly! He wanted to build a Surf Stadium to help make the waves better for surfers and he likes to rub elbows. He owns several homes in Brevard, pays his taxes, and he's been involved in two lawsuits if you search the Clerk of Courts Name Search page (with the dates changed to the start year of 1980): one as an "interested party" and one as defendant but that one was dismissed. I can't endorse anyone who says to the residents of Cocoa Beach, "Watch your words!" and silences them and gets a cop to throw them out if they criticize any of the Commission members. I just can't. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

County Commission District 1:

Rita Pritchett is the candidate for D1 County Commission I think is my favorite so far. She and I were supposed to get together and talk but I got busy with other things. I hope she can fit me in sometime soon and I will talk to her soon if so. I'll let you know how that goes. In the meantime, she owns her home and I can't find even a parking ticket for her at the Clerk of Courts website. Her campaign website is here and she is involved in her church and she has lived in Brevard County for 54 years. She has a Masters Degree in Accounting and that would put two CPAs on the Board (with Infantini) and make it a more fiscally responsible Board, one would hope. She has been raising money so she is serious about her candidacy. So far, as I said, I like her. No endorsement yet, but so far so good. (Note: I meet with her on Feb. 3, 2016 and I'll let you know my reaction.) After meeting with Rita Pritchett and -- finding out she is currently serving on the Titusville City Council (TCC Bio here) and meeting minute links here -- I can tell you that I like her. She is the Administrator at New Life Christian Fellowship on U.S. 1 between Port St. John and Titusville. She and I agree to disagree on her support of the North Brevard Economic Development Zone (CRA): She supports it and likes it, I don't. She believes in lower taxes and thinks that government should be doing only what individuals can't: paving roads, raise an army, etc. I ENDORSE RITA PRITCHETT. She is also ENDORSED by the Business Voice PAC.com. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Ron Taylor's campaign website is here. He's a Democrat who, like our local democrat , didn't put the legally required disclaimer on ANY page on his website ("Paid political advertisement…"). He ran as a Republican in 2014. Why the switch, I don't know, but if he understands the parties' platforms as poorly as he understands the First Amendment (see his "Positions on the Issues" page), he's pretty well lost already. On that same page he also disses the "rich" but I betcha' he wants to be one! He has raised approximately $4,000 as of 1/26/2016 4:49 a.m., so he's at least done something in that arena. He and his wife own their home. The only listing at the Clerk of Courts website I find is when he and his wife sued a business they were associated with. He pays his property taxes on time and he is not in a hurry to raise the gas tax we already pay to DOUBLE our current tax. This is his THIRD time (at least) running for public office. He previously ran as a Republican for D1 (2012) and he ran in 2010 as a TEA candidate (apparently for Chuck Nelson's D2 seat) although that TEA was not related to the "T.E.A. Party" of Sarah Palin's supporters. You can see what he previously stated as his political beliefs as a TEA candidate in 2010 here. Perhaps it was a short-lived candidacy because the website is just one page! In 2014, while running as a Republican, he made a statement about his opponent. I DO NOT ENDORSE HIM. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

County Commission, District 3:

Randy Foster (DEM), has raised about $2,500. He has a campaign website and his bio is available here; in which he touts his membership in the Space Coast Progressive Alliance, the Brevard Chapter of the N.O.W. and Florida Progressive Democrat caucus - Florida. Haven't we already paid the price for having progressives on the Board? I "love" the statement he makes here:

"Brevard County need an inspector general to detection and prevention of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement of the government operations."
Really? Home ownership is not shown on Property Appraiser's website. His LinkedIn page states that he is the President of Tru-AGE Health, LLC, and whose parent company is here. Their Google+ result has more information. (So that's two "health company" workers trying to get elected to the BOCC. Do I detect a trend?) Looking at the Bizapedia page about Tru-AGE Health, LLC, you'll see it has one person associate with it: Randy Foster. Kinda' makes you go "Hmmm." Yes? His Facebook page is here. and he was interviewed by Seeta Begui in Oct. of last year. I DO NOT ENDORSE HIM. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

John J. Tobia, Republican: Endorsed by Me. He is a former Florida House of Representatives member and in 2010 he was interviewed by the Toady [sic] and said that the cost of illegal immigration to Florida residents back then was $2 BILLION to support what was then estimated to be 950,000 illegal immigrants in our state. He said that our immigration policy is broken and should be fixed. Can you imagine how much themuslimvileone's "Muslim boat lift" has cost Floridians now? His House voting record is good. He has a good score with a lot of Conservative - especially PRO-LIFE - groups. He has actually raised some money, $14,250 as of the last report (as of 1/27/2016 at 1:11 a.m.). He has a good score with his students at Valencia College. He currently represents South Brevard. Matt Nye allegedly filed two ethics complaints against John Tobia in August 2014; one for sending a stamp to people and the second for storing his signs somewhere. I've done a thorough search of the Florida Ethics Commission's website for those filings and any rulings resulting from those filings. I have found nothing about them at the Ethics Commission so they were either found "insufficient" evidence of wrongdoing, or they were never filed. As I've said, they're not showing up. (Search completed 1/27/2015: 2:11 a.m. and 2/1/2016 3:03 a.m.) His contact info for those who have been his aides and such is here. Another ethics complaint from someone else was also dismissed -- but, again, I cannot find a final ruling or anything else for the complaint so it may have been (basically) dismissed. His Ballotpedia listing is here. His Twitter feed is here although he rarely uses it and he's listed at OpenStates.org as well. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

County Commissioner District 5:

Kristine Isnardi (Rep), is a Registered Nurse and has raised $6,300 (retrieved 1/17/2016 11:41 p.m.) and has one speeding ticket on the Clerk of Courts website Name Search page results, and has been involved in two lawsuits; one personal in which the County sued her, and one as Palm Bay City Councilmember. Her LinkedIn page is here and her MyLife page is here. A 2010 Toady [sic] bio of her is here and a Toady [sic] article of 2015 is cached here. Honestly, I don't like her ties to (ahem) andy anderson, and that does bother me about her. I don't trust him and it reflects poorly on her to be so closely associated with him. "Show me a man's friends and I'll show you the man"? Her campaign website is here and she has Sheriff Wayne Ivey's endorsement. She and her husband, Dave, own their home and pay their taxes. She has a good reputation for fighting against higher taxes and against special interests: a 2015 Space Coast Daily article says the same. As a member of the Palm Bay City Council she was a member of the Palm Bay Education Foundation, Inc. : and the City Council's Palm Bay Municipal Foundation, Inc. more info here here: and here. She's happy to be associated with the T.E.A. Party (YouTube video). She also believes that America was founded upon Christian ideals (and she's correct!) and she's Catholic. Although I wanted to like her my gut instinct was against it and, after consulting a knowledgeable source, I have decided that I DO NOT ENDORSE HER. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Anthony Talbott Schultz (Write In Candidate): just joined the race on June 23, 2016 but still has nothing on his first financial report. He is an attorney who specializes is "criminal defense, elder law, general practice and entertainment" (diverse, at least) he owns his home and pays his taxes. He has at least one speeding ticket and is married. Here's his LinkedIn page and his Martindale page is noncommital, he's in GOOD standing with the Florida Bar and according to Lawyer.com he has no disciplinary actions and no misconduct complaints, and he's been practicing law for three years. He is listed as an incorporated business with the State of Florida. Again, this is a candidate for which I cannot find much in the way of negatives, so I ENDORSE HIM. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

School Board District 3:

Darcey Addo: I DO NOT ENDORSE HER. has been a candidate since March 23, 2015 and has raised about $2,495 (retrieved 2/1/2016: 2:39 a.m.) and she's a member of the "Opt Out Brevard" movement which encourages parents to not allow their public school students to take the standardized tests but to "Opt Out" because the current tests are based upon Common (Crap) Core Standards (BTW, they have info on the 2016 tests here.). Her campaign website says she is NPA (registered "No Party Affilliation") but her blog post says she is proudly PROGRESSIVE. Her resume is here and she's "Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certified" which is the program the County recently spent buncha' bucks on sending people to get their certification and the EDC (which we pay for) also spent taxpayer dollars on in 2012. (Why we have to foot the bill, I still don't know.) (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Tina Descovich: HAS MY ENDORSEMENT Her candidate finance page shows she has spent as of 9/14/2016 just over $22,500 and received just under that same amount. She has a campaign website that says she is against high stakes testing and is an outspoken critic of Common Core! She has the endorsement of the Business Voice, which is good. Her LinkedIn page shows she is currently a graphic design professional, worked for Northrup Grumman for five years, and graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997. However, a Florida Toady [sic] page says she is a communications consultant. Her Ballotpedia page is here; Facebook page is here; Twitter timeline here. She caught the attention of the American Principles Project, here's her Webgram page and her her Instagram page. An article in PTO Today featured her and her Google+ page is here and here's her Vimeo page. She's got the endorsement of The Roar, the West Shore Junior/Senior High School student newspaper. They endorse her with the statement:

"Tina Descovich and Matt Susin are the strongest pro-teacher, pro-parent and pro-student candidates. Together, Descovich and Susin can put Brevard on track to be best in the state."
I like that. She also has the endorsement of the Space Coast Association of Realtors' MLS. She owns her home and pays her taxes. Her public record docs are here and as far as I can find she has nothing listed at the Clerk of Courts regular office search engine. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Judicial:

Circuit Judge, 18th Judicial Circuit: Group 9:
There are other candidates for the 18th Judicial Circuit but the rest are unopposed for their groups so you see only the three names running for Group 9.

Steve Henderson: I DO NOT ENDORSE HIM:   Clicking on his name here will show you his campaign finance info: he's spent about $38,500 as of 9:17 p.m. Aug. 18, 2016 and collected in donations about $25,000 with an additional $35,000 in "loans". He must want this an awful lot because he has been at this since March of this year, but received donations and spent himself $60,000. That's a high price, but it is politics. He and his wife own their home. They have a second address in Rockledge, too. Don't know what that is since someone else owns it. He's been married twice, his first wife's name was Christy. There was a judgment against him in Washington State in which he had a business failure. He was once arrested for Battery while he was an assistant public defender and Norman Wolfinger had to recuse himself from involvement to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest He was sued by Capital One Bank for "Contract and Indebtedness" but it was dismissed before it went to court. His law firm's website shows that his wife is his law partner. His practice is is rated 3.8 of 5 at Lawyers.com and the same at Martindale.com. His voluntary self-disclosure statement is here. His campaign website is here and it has the required PPAs! (Hurray!) He has 31 excellent, five star reviews at Avvo.com with an Avvo rating of 8.8 out of 10. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Christina Sanchez:   It is the DailyKos site that first piqued my interest in this candidate because it says she's a Republican and they do NOT endorse her, which is good to me; but we'll see. They go so far as to say "In November, choose whomever makes the runoff against Christina Sanchez." She started her campaign contributions with her own money on 8/19/2015 (a year ago to the day; filing date thirteen days prior) and she has spent just over $48,000 for the campaign so far. Sadly, it looks like she, too, has lost her house and due to indebtedness. She also has 16 (Wow!) traffic and traffic related tickets entered at the Clerk of Court's website. She has a heavy foot! She's married and I wish them happiness. Her scores are "middling" at Lawyers.com with a 3.0 out of 5 rating, the same rating as at Martindale.com. Her AVVO.com page shows a 9.0 out of 10 rating, with 11 reviews. She was featured in Space Coast Business with her LinkedIn page here. She is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar with no disciplinary action in the last ten years. Her Facebook page and her law firm's website are up and running. She was interviewed in 2014 by Danny Treanor during her 2014 run, and endorsed by The Seminole Democrat. Personally, I think she's better than her opponent, so I suppose this is my choice. Ringing endorsement? No. But the "fair to middling" attorney part and the fact that she has so many traffic tickets is what prevents me from being too enthusiastic about her. I wish I could give her a better endorsement, but if you're going to be a JUDGE over the law, you should be willing to OBEY the law, too. Same with her opponent, but when I look at her opponent's record, I can't endorse him. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

County Court Judge: Group 2:

Kelly McCormack Ingram: Her campaign website as of 8/18/2016, 2:29 a.m. does NOT a PPA. It is a single, non-PPA'd page. Why do candidates for judge seem to forget that a lot? She has at least one unhappy customer as an attorney. Her self-disclosure statement is here and her Facebook page is here, while her law office Facebook page is here. She came in third at the Brevard Republican Executive Committee straw poll and that may say something or it may not. Her LinkedIn page is here. I DO NOT ENDORSE HER because she has an extensive list of charges at the Clerk of Courts office including Battery of LEO or Firefighter (LEO - Law Enforcement Officer), Breach of Peace Disorderly Conduct, Violation of Vessel Navigation Rules Noncriminal (SIX charges!), Culpable Negligence Inflicts Injury (four times!), Insufficient Life Saving Devices (twice) and Driving Vehicle in Unsafe Condition. This is a person running for JUDGE! Yeow! Yes, I checked to see the "Party Information" at the Clerk of Courts website and she is the right "Kelly Ingram" because the address on her Candidate Report at the Supervisor of Elections office matches the address of the defendant at the Clerk of Courts website, so the person whose birthdate is in 1968 is definitely the same person! She has collected over $46,000 in donations to her campaign and has spent just over $37,000 according to her latest financial disclosure form at her Candidate Report page. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

Rodney Miles Kernan: His Candidate Report is here and according to his latest financial report he has collected over $51,000 and spent just over $38,000. He's been at this since April 2015 so he's got a lot of reports you can scan through. He owns his home and he pays his property taxes. His campaign website shows he's endorsed by Sheriff Wayne Ivey, and has the requisite PPAs (WoW!) His Florida Bar info shows no disciplinary history for the last ten years. And he has good AVVO reviews. His Facebook page is here with no PPA on it. (Woopsie!) His company website is here (it doesn't need a PPA because he doesn't campaign on it). He's divorced and has a habit of parking in the no parking zone according to the Clerk of Courts website. He also has a need for speed - or to just leave his house earlier to get places on time - and has some speeding and parking tickets on file. Also at the Clerk of Courts Search results page it looks like the bank is trying to foreclose on a house he signed the mortgage for but does not currently reside in (his ex may live there now) but is so far not getting much satisfaction. His LinkedIn page is here but I don't see a Twitter or other pages for him. Because of his Clerk of Courts list, I DO NOT ENDORSE HIM. (Paid political advertisement. Paid for and approved by Linda McKinney 6025 Keystone Ave. Port St. John, FL 32927, Independent of any candidate, campaign, or committee.)

If I missed someone do you know how to do the investigations yourself? Check the regular search engines (do more than one) and type in the candidate's name, and/or address (if you have their e-mail address you can find the forums they post to) and follow the links to the info you can find there. Check their Twitter, Fakebook (Facebook, but Rush calls it that), LinkedIn and specialty search engines. Check their local history: Brevard County Property Appraiser's Research page, go to the Clerk of Courts recorded public records database put their last name first, then their first name in the "name" section here without changing the dates. That way you'll have info that is PUBLIC RECORD for their publicly recorded deeds, etc. Change the "From" date to 1980 and type in their names at the other Clerk of Courts website page, then click on the results and find out what's up with their speeding tickets, if they've been charged with anything and all of that. Be SURE that it's the right person via checking the address with the recorded public records info and/or their own published info. Don't attribute to someone what is another person's info; be very careful to check that. Check the Brevard County Tax Collector's office for their tax bill's status. If you are researching an attorney, be sure to check out the Florida Bar's Find an Attorney option. Type in his/her name, change the City to "County" and then "Brevard" (or whichever) and you'll get the results for that attorney. Check the "10-Year Discipline History:" section and if there is a "Yes" click on it to find out what kind of discipline, etc. Be sure to check any attorneys who have a "Yes" with their name at the Public Records section of the Brevard Clerk of Courts search engine. There you'll be able to read the disciplinary actions against that attorney, judge, whoever. The only thing you won't be able to see there is the rulings in divorces and child support cases, but those are available at the second Clerk of Courts search engine link. For attorneys and judges check Martindale.com (long search box upper right; type in name), check AVVO.com (search engine, type in name) and newspaper results in all search engines. For everyone, check Ballotpedia, Google+, Klout.com (ego is as ego does), their FSCCC rating (if applicable), and be sure to check Vote Smart and the Brevard Supervisor of Elections "Candidates" page and click on each name so that you can see their individual info. From there, check their latest Campaign Financial Statements to see two things: 1) Their monetary expenditures and incomes, and 2) WHO is giving to them. Show me a man's friends, I'll show you the man. The people who support that candidate will tell you as much about who the candidate is as any Florida Toady [sic] article.
